I threw these bowls on the wheel using a very smooth high-iron stoneware clay. Once leather-hard I chattered the texture on with tungsten carbide chattering tools. I then let them dry very slowly before bisque firing, wax-resisting the chattered surfaces, glazing, and finally glaze firing in oxidation. I love the way the bright colorful glaze compliments the natural color of the clay.
